Non-Clinical Volunteers are essential to our ability to serve our clients and carry out our mission that the Sisters of Mercy established back in 1880. We have several opportunities to offer your time and compassion:

  • Spiritual Care Volunteers – Mercy Care is looking for compassionate and empathetic listeners with good communication skills. In addition, volunteers should be personable, professional, and able to be work well with others while being openly sensitive to cultural & religious diversity.
  • Meal kits – Mercy Care is currently in need of donations for meal kits. Click here for information on how to build meal kits.

Other Opportunities

Everyone has a gift to share. Here are just some ideas for how you could put your talents to work:

  • Make healthy meal kits. (essential need at this time)
  • Work alongside physicians as a medical scribe. (essential need at this time)
  • Support staff and patients behind-the-scenes.
  • Welcome patients to our clinics.
  • Translate for Spanish-speaking patients (certified medical translators preferable).
  • Tell our story through writing, photography or videography.
  • Teach health education and fitness classes.
  • Provide therapy through art or music.
  • Mentor or tutor life skills.
  • Fundraise and plan events with Mercy Care Foundation.

We appreciate each and every one of our volunteers throughout the years who have given their time and talents so selflessly to our patients and operations.
