An event honoring those who died while homeless in 2022
Wednesday, December 21, 2022 – 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm
Mercy Care Decatur Street
424 Decatur St. SE Atlanta, GA 30312
The winter solstice on Wednesday, December 21, celebrates the longest hours of darkness and the rebirth of the sun. It is believed to hold a powerful energy for regeneration, renewal and self-reflection. The date also falls within the Christian season of Advent, which celebrates the promise of light over darkness. Across the country, memorials take place on or around the winter solstice to reflect on the plight of those who have no home in which to take shelter and to remember those who died while homeless during the year. We hope you will join us in person this year.
