“I feel like a king!”

Mercy Care hosted its annual Holy Thursday foot washing event at which we welcomed 49 clients to have their feet washed by 44 volunteers, and physicians were on hand to provide wound care to 24 clients during the event. This tradition represents Jesus’ act of washing his disciples’ feet before the Last Supper and symbolizes the importance of humility, love, and serving others. The event is meaningful to both our clients and our volunteers, many of whom return year after year.
